Devil's Race Track Directions & Triple Falls on Bruce Creek
Driving Directions
From I-75 North take Exit 134 for Caryville
At end of the ramp turn Right onto Hwy 25W heading North
Drive 1 mile to a LEFT turn onto Park Rd which is one of the entrances for
Cove Lake State Park
Stay straight on Park Road for 1 mile
at a four way intersection stay straight on Loop Rd for 0.25 miles
Turn LEFT onto Shelton Hollow Lane and stay on this for 0.20 miles
to the parking area for Devil's Race Track and Triple Falls
Hiking Directions
From where you parked Bruce Creek will be flowing downstream along the road. Turn and hike upstream toward a manmade tunnel for the creek.
The Cumberland Trail is high above you here and parallels the lower trail.
Stay with the lower trail and follow it upstream for 0.10 mile to lower Bruce Creek Falls, the firsts of the three waterfalls. It is 0.10 mile further upstream along the same trail to view the second and main waterfall. From here the trail begins to climb more steeply for a few feet. It is another 0.10 mile to the bridge
that crosses Bruce Creek.
The third and final falls is 0.10 miles along the stream past the bridge
To hike to Devil's Race Track Overlook
Turn right and cross the bridge over Bruce Creek.
From here the trail is actually on the Cumberland Trail and is marked with white blazes. Follow the marked, well traveled trail another 0.40 miles upward to the Devil's Race Track Overlook.
